Biography
Dr. Brad Wills is a leading orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in conditions of the hip and knee, serving Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding communities of the Tennessee Valley. While other orthopaedic surgeons may address the entire body, Dr. Wills is a dedicated specialist in hip and knee replacement, giving him absolute expertise in his field of practice. He believes in cultivating a strong doctor-patient relationship, as well as adhering to surgical principles, to give his patients the best possible outcome. Dr. Wills is one of only five surgeons in North Alabama who are fellowship-trained in total joint replacement.
Dr. Wills attended Sewanee: The University of the South, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. After receiving his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Wills continued his medical education with a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Alabama. During his residency, he was elected chief resident, inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and earned multiple awards, including the Kurt Niemann award for the most outstanding chief resident and the John S. Gould Award for Outstanding Junior resident during his time. After residency, he completed a hip and knee replacement fellowship at the prestigious Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia. Dr. Wills is a reviewer for multiple medical journals. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
